I forgot

I forget to mention that Enrique's Journey is a true account of his journey.

One of my dad's best students was an illeagle immigrant, who, though the youngest in his family, happened to be the only sibling not born in the US.

One night, I think he was 11, his grandfather drove him out to the desert and told him how to get across the boarder and where to get help and then left. That one kid changed my dad's mind about the immigration situation.

I know they work hard and their lives here aren't great. I was impressed with their dedication. I just wish they would not start out as law breakers.
I was amazed with the reaction of the Mexican gov. attitude towards these people who where just passing thru and yet they try to tell US how we should treat the immigrates. It just continues to boggle my mind. And it is painful to realize that there really is no answer.

Yep, and that isn't even close to the worst immigrant/refugee situation. I've been reading about the Jewish and Palestinian refugees.
